Hobbcraft

We are thrilled to have Hobbycraft onboard for the first time. Their plans to get the nation crafting throughout Remembrance are perfect for our close-knit community.

We are working with Hobbycraft to share patterns for knitted and crocheted poppies, allowing crafters of any skill level to make their own.

The patterns are available for a donation of whatever the public would like to give, and the poppies can be kept, or sold during the Poppy Appeal to raise even more money for the Armed Forces community.

The poppy pattern available from Hobbycraft was created by our member Ann.

“It’s just so lovely to do something for the Legion, knowing there’s something at the end of it. You know, I’m helping somebody.”

Hobbycraft will be inviting the public into stores too for numerous events running throughout the Remembrance period.

Check their events page to sign up for their kids’ events and make paper Poppies with your little ones, or find your local store to knit and natter with like-minded crafters.

Ben France, Head of Corporate Partnerships at The Legion, said:

“We are delighted to be working with Hobbycraft on a creative campaign that encourages communities to get involved in handicrafting for the Legion. Our members and supporters are at the heart of our charity, and it is great to be able to champion their knitted poppy designs to the wider public.

“With the knitting and crochet patterns available online, and crafting events in Hobbycraft stores across the country,  everyone can get involved and raise money for the Legion.”
