Kings Cross Poppy Sellers

We are grateful to BAE Systems, who have pledged £400,000 to fund critical programmes supporting veterans and their families.

BAE Systems will give £200,000 per year over two years, to support the Royal British Legion’s Battle Back Centre and Admiral Nurse services.
 This funding will go towards:
  • Battle Back Centre: £150,000 annually will enable 50 veterans to attend a week-long, adaptive activity course at our centre in Lilleshall. The centre aids recovery by helping veterans build confidence and resilience through physical and creative challenges
  • Admiral Nurses: £ 50,000 per year will go towards our Admiral Nurses service, which provides specialist dementia support for veterans and their families, ensuring access to expert care and guidance.

This generous donation builds on a long-standing relationship between RBL and BAE Systems, including their continued commitment to supporting our Poppy Appeal each year.

Gabby Costigan, Group Business Development Director, BAE Systems, said:

“Supporting the veteran community is vital to BAE Systems and this significant donation will provide a truly meaningful contribution that will change lives for the better.

“Our mission is to protect those who protect us and while we do that for our armed forces in service, it’s just as important that we support our veterans and their families as they transition into civilian life. It’s a privilege to be able to support critical programmes that will make a difference.”
