Become a volunteer and make a difference

However much time you can give, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved as a volunteer and make a difference.

Interested in learning more about the work of RBL and the volunteers that support RBL across the organisation?  Our monthly newsletter is available to everyone – please sign up for The Volunteer’s Voice newsletter for regular updates on what RBL is working on and how you can get involved!

Why volunteer?

By volunteering with us you can help change the lives of people in the Armed Forces community. As one of our volunteers you will help serving and ex-serving personnel and their families from all walks of life.

Make a huge difference to the lives of those in need in the Armed Forces community, and make a difference to your own life too!

What are the benefits of volunteering with us?

From directly supporting people as a Befriending Volunteer in one of our 6 Care Homes to hitting the streets as one of our amazing Poppy Appeal Collectors, there are many ways you can get involved.

As well as making a huge difference to people’s lives, volunteering with the Royal British Legion can help you:

  • Meet like-minded people and make friends
  • Get involved in your local community
  • Increase your confidence and self-esteem
  • Learn new or improve existing skills
  • Gain valuable experience

However much time you can give, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved as a volunteer and make a difference.
