VE Day 75
This year to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE day, M&S sold a limited-edition biscuit tin with 25p from each £5 tin going to RBL. The Spitfire tin highlighted how M&S employees raised vital funds during the Second World War to buy a Mark Vb Spitfire plane, aptly named the Marksman, to help the RAF war effort. The Marksman went on to complete several successful missions including shooting down three enemy fighters at Dunkirk. The tin raised over £25,000!
We are delighted to be one of the M&S Sparks Card chosen charities, where M&S donate 1p to charity every time you shop using your card. Sparks members can choose the RBL as their charity of choice, over £612,000 has been donated to us through these donations to date.
You can sign up to the M&S Sparks Card on the M&S website.
