Girlguiding RBL Banner

The Royal British Legion are proud to partner with Girlguiding through an official product range.

Girlguiding is the UK’s largest youth organisation dedicated completely to girls. All girls have a home at Girlguiding – whoever they are, and wherever they are. Across the whole of the UK, an amazing 80,000 volunteers help 300,000 girls aged 4 -18 to be their best and face the challenges of growing up today.

For a long time, Girlguiding members have attended Remembrance Day parades, with some units even raising money locally for RBL.

Following the success of the first year of our partnership in 2019 with the official woven and metal badges, Girlguiding also released a VE Day 75 badge in May 2020 and a Remembrance 2020 badge in Autumn to commemorate 75 years since the end of the Second World War. We also developed materials to help volunteers engage girls with the topic of Remembrance through activities.

During our centenary year in 2021, Girlguiding produced a range inspired by the life cycle of the poppy, the designs displayed the seed of the flower scattering, symbolising how the RBL will continue to grow for the next 100 years.

This year's badge celebrates the thousands of former Guides and women of colour who served in the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service) as radar operators, sound detectors and range finders, during the Second World War.

To purchase the badge please visit the official Girlguiding shop.

These products provide a fantastic opportunity for Girlguiding members to support The Royal British Legion during Remembrance. The profits from all products in the range are split equally to support both organisations.
