The Battle Back Centre Lilleshall was established in 2011 by The Legion to support wounded and sick Service personnel.
Alec Penstone was 15 years old and worked in a factory when war broke out in 1939. After volunteering as a part time (Air Raid Precautions) messenger during the Blitz he joined the Royal Navy.
A state-of-the-art clinical rehabilitation facility, the DNRC provides expert care and support for wounded, injured and sick Armed Forces personnel.
