How will funds raised help RBL?
For more than 100 years, the Royal British Legion has provided lifelong support to the Armed Forces community through recovery and rehabilitation, financial assistance, housing, employment support and mental wellbeing services.
Each year around 2,000 people are discharged from the Armed Forces due to injury or illness. RBL services use adaptive sports and physical activity to aid recovery. With the vital funds raised throughout this challenge, RBL can continue to help people rebuild their lives during service and long after it ends.
£50 could pay for… an individual’s first step into Recovery Services, including referral assessment, initial contact, and allocation to a dedicated Recovery Case Worker, helping them access the right support quickly.
£100,000 could pay for… 10 new adaptive e-bikes at our Battle Back Centre, helping injured veterans rebuild confidence, strength, and independence through cycling as part of our recovery courses.
£750,000 could pay for… 250 veterans to access life-changing recovery courses at RBL’s Battle Back Centre, helping them manage service-related injuries and navigate the transition to civilian life.
£1 million could pay for… a vital infrastructure upgrade across our Recovery Services, modernising facilities and increasing capacity so we can support more beneficiaries on every recovery course.
What to do if there are tech issues with Strava? (Eg. my last run hasn’t been recorded)
Strava has a very comprehensive support site where supporters will be able to find answers to queries they have - https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us
If someone’s activity didn’t record they can either manually upload it - https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216917857-Uploading-Manual-Activities or they can look at syncing issues - https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216919037-Troubleshooting-Syncing
