Remembrance brings people of all ages and backgrounds together to reflect on service and sacrifice, and join with each other in hope for a brighter, peaceful future.
We support the teaching of Remembrance across the UK and have designed a range of free teaching resources for use at school or in the home.
Exploring the concept of service before self, the resources examine the importance of Remembrance and its ongoing relevance.
All our resources are:
- Free and linked to National Curriculum
- Include support for teachers and parents
- Differentiated to provide both support and challenge
- Available in Welsh
Key Stages 1 to 5
Autumn Remembrance resources
As RBL marks its centenary, our new Autumn resources explore the past, present and future of Remembrance, and include our first ever resources for Key Stage 5.
Alongside assemblies we are introducing a range of new resources, exploring 100 years of Remembrance, including book clubs, whole school projects and poetry workshops.
Designed for use in school and at home, students will learn how our national Remembrance traditions have evolved, consider different community and national Remembrance traditions, and will have the opportunity to consider what Remembrance might look like for them in the future.
Also available in Welsh.
We've partnered with Girlguiding, Cadets, and Scouts to create new Remembrance activities, designed so everyone can connect and engage with Remembrance and discover links between their own experiences and those of the Second World War generation.
