Well done to our brilliant competition winners who brought Thank You to life through their artwork, poetry and music.

To mark the end of the centenary of the First World War, The Royal British Legion, in partnership with Never Such Innocence, ran a ‘Thank You’ creative competition. We invited young people aged between 9-16 years old to be a part of a historic moment by creating an expression of art, poetry or song that said Thank You to the generation that served, sacrificed and changed our world.

We are absolutely delighted to have received over thousands of entries from all over the world. Our judges had an extremely difficult task, but the winning work has now been selected and we are delighted to present it here.

Congratulations to Lucy Attrill, whose poem has been selected to be performed at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall. Our judges felt that Lucy’s entry perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the competition.
