Joshua's story

Joshua was 19 when he joined the Army in Gold Coast (now Ghana) and went on to serve in the Far East campaign in pre-partition India and Burma.

Governance

The charity is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board exercises responsibility for the strategic direction, governance and management of the Legion.

Poppy Golf

Poppy Golf events are a chance for all golf enthusiasts to get involved at a local and national level to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Lister House in Ripon, North Yorkshire, provides expert care including respite and day-care for the Armed Forces community as well as somewhere to call home.
