We provide vital support for the Armed Forces community
How does the Royal British Legion help?
The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families. People may face challenges such as employment issues, financial difficulties, housing or homelessness concerns, barriers to living independently, mental and physical health challenges, or a lack of community connection. We are here all year round to ensure that service personnel, veterans and their families have access to any support that they might need.
We provide a wide range of support for the Armed Forces community. Our welfare services offer financial support, legal guidance on appealing decisions, dementia specialist support, and recovery services. We also host online information guides to help the currently serving and ex-service community find the support available.
Whatever issues people face, we can direct you to the most appropriate RBL service, and if there is ever a reason we can't help, our vast network of partner charities and organisations means we will know someone who can.
Our Services for the Armed Forces Community
Our specialist teams are here to support people in the currently serving and ex-service community. We provide a wide range of specialist support programmes, which include offering financial assistance, help accessing specialist equipment and mobility aids, support with debt and financial issues, and care and support for those who are living with long-term conditions or disabilities.
If you are not sure which service you need support from, our advisers can help direct you to the right team.
Guidance and Expert Advice
The Royal British Legion’s Guidance and Advice hub is a self-help resource for people in the Armed Forces community looking to find information on a range of topics. Our guides cover topics such as support available for families whilst transitioning out of the Armed Forces, bereavement support, managing your finances with children, and support for people experiencing social isolation, to name just a few. Whilst some of the guidance directs to services RBL provides, it also signposts to other charities and organisation who might be able to support you with your particular concerns.
