Poppy Appeal Collector
After submitting your application, we aim to be in touch within a few days. Please note that response times may be slightly longer during the Appeal. Once that's taken place, your local Poppy Appeal Organiser will then contact you to coordinate collections in your area.
If you haven't heard from us for your initial conversation, or if it's been a while since that took place and you haven't yet heard from your local Poppy Appeal Organiser, please email [email protected] or call 0345 845 1945 and we'll be happy to help.
How much time do I need to give as a Poppy Appeal Organiser?
This is a year-round volunteer role with opportunities to fundraise and raise awareness throughout the year. The busiest period is the two weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday, where regular time is needed before and after the appeal. But the time you commit outside of this is flexible and chosen by you.
The exact commitment depends on the size of your local area and will be discussed during your first meeting with your Poppy Appeal Manager, who'll support and guide you throughout your volunteering.

Can I volunteer with a friend or family member?
Can I volunteer with a group or organisation?
Can I volunteer if I’m under 18?
If you are under 18, please arrange for a parent or guardian to apply on your behalf, as you will need to be accompanied while collecting. All under-18s must be supervised by an adult who has been authorised by their parent or guardian.
Poppy Appeal Organisers must be aged 18 or over.
If I am already in contact with my Poppy Appeal Organiser, can I volunteer again this year without registering again?
What if I’m unsure about the area I want to volunteer in?
If you’re unsure, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we can talk you through the different Poppy Appeal roles and answer any questions you may have. You can contact us on [email protected] or call us on 0345 845 1945.
