Poppy Trek 2021 is sold out

Our new one-day trek will pass through picturesque scenery and offer views of unique landscapes as we hike approximately 11 miles and summit the 978 metre peak.

Once we reach the top, we’ll stop to take in the breathtaking views across Cumbria before sharing a moment’s reflection at the UK’s highest war memorial. After pausing for a minute’s silence to remember and pay tribute to the incredible sacrifices made by our Armed Forces community, we’ll descend to a hero’s welcome and collect a unique finishers’ medal.

Scafell Pike holds particular significance as it was part of 'The Great Gift', where several Cumbrian peaks were gifted to the National Trust. This generous act signaled the end of the First World War.

You’ll be joining us as we celebrate 100 years of the Royal British Legion bringing communities together to create better futures for our Armed Forces and their families.

The route is planned and led by experienced mountain leaders. It’s a challenging climb over rocky and uneven terrain, but with their assistance, you can enjoy the tranquil mountain scenery and focus on the challenge.
