What is Armed Forces Day?
Armed Forces Day is the annual opportunity for us all to come together in recognition and celebration of the wonderful service provided by our regular and reservist soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, past and present, and the families that have supported them in turn.
Rarely in our recent history has the British Public owed so much to those in uniform. Whether manning Covid testing stations, giving up weekends and leave to bolster the NHS, or rolling out much needed vaccines across the country, our armed forces have been on the frontlines in the fight against Covid-19.
But we also understand that when serving people hang up their uniform it can be difficult for them and their families without that sense of service and purpose anymore.
And when military experiences are lost in translation it can make life really hard. That’s why the RBL has been standing with the Armed Forces community for 100 years.
