The games are not about high performance sport or winning medals – it focuses on using sport as a tool for recovery and rehabilitation.
Working in partnership with the Ministry of Defense, we are proud to support Team UK to compete at the Invictus Games.
To apply to compete as part of Team UK at the Invictus Games, you must make sure you meet the Invictus Games Foundation’s eligibility criteria:
The application process for Team UK is split into two stages.
Applications to the first stage are required by 15 February 2026 and up to 100 veterans will be invited to attend:
Selection to compete with Team UK in Birmingham will be confirmed in November 2026.
Following selection, competitors will be supported through a range of activities in the lead up to the Games.

Sara served in the RAF for 18 years but after having a ruptured brain aneurysm her military career was cut short.
We have supported Sara in various ways since her brain injury and in 2025 she competed with Team UK at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.
In 2027 the Invictus Games will return to the UK for the first time since the inaugural Games in 2014, and will be held in Birmingham at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and Sandwell Aquatics Centre from the 10th-17th July.
550 competitors from 25 nations, with 1,000 friends and family, will compete in 12 Adaptive Sports:
