The Legion’s supporters have helped to create a special Flanders Fields of Poppies display that will be in place this November to commemorate the fallen of the First World War, and conflicts since.
Thousands of personal messages of Remembrance have been written on Poppies that will be planted to stand proudly in the earth beside the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial in Flanders, an area that saw some of the heaviest fighting in the First World War and where poppies flowered amidst the destruction of the battlefields.
The closing date for submitting messages for the Field has now passed, but if you can, please make a donation to help then Legion continue to provide vital support services to the Armed Forces community.
The Flanders Field of Poppies will open with a special service on Friday 8 November.
