Volunteer at the Arboretum

Part of our family of charities, the National Memorial Arboretum is the UK's year-round centre of Remembrance. Covering 150 acres of land the Arboretum features more than 370 memorials and 30,000 trees dedicated to the Service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community.

There are many ways you can get involved and volunteer at the Arboretum – and we’d love to have you – although please remember the Arboretum roles are only available in the Staffordshire area.

Weekend volunteers

On the first full weekend of each month, the National Memorial Arboretum invites volunteers who love the outdoors to get involved in their working weekends. The whole family can get involved in activities including; planting, pruning and general grounds maintenance.

Front of house volunteers

As a front of house volunteer you can help visitors get the most from their visit to the Arboretum through a variety of roles including:

  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Assisting at reception
  • Acting as guides on walks
  • Giving outside talks to group
