Are Poppies recyclable?

Yes, Poppies are recyclable. The most effective way to recycle our poppy is to return it to your local Sainsbury’s store after Armistice Day.

Plastic-free poppies can be recycled in ordinary paper recycling collections. 

You could also wear an enamel poppy pin instead of a paper poppy, and there are a range of alternatives available from our Poppy Shop.

We are committed to ensuring we operate sustainably, and we are working to reduce our carbon footprint and energy use. A key area of focus to date has been our Poppy Appeal products where we have already removed over eight million pieces of single-use plastic.
