Free Remembrance Poetry Workshops (Key Stage 2)
Join performance poet and educator Kurly McGeachie for two inspiring online Workshops this September, helping pupils explore Remembrance through poetry, creativity and reflection.
About the Workshops
The Royal British Legion and the National Literacy Trust have created free online Workshops for Key Stage 2 students (aged 7-11). Designed to develop creativity, literacy and connections to Remembrance, the Workshops are linked to the curriculum and supported
by free classroom materials for your students to enjoy throughout the week.
On Tuesday 29th September celebrated poet Kurly McGeachie will deliver two immersive Workshops – one for lower Key Stage 2, and one for upper
Key Stage 2. He’ll combine his own original poetry, tips and tricks for poetry writing, and a Q&A to create a thoughtful, inspiring and creative learning experience.
Who are Poems for Remembrance Workshops for?
The Poems for Remembrance Workshops are for anyone in Key Stage 2 (7-11 years). They can take part from wherever they learn - at school or at home, from anywhere across the UK.
