National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph
The National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph will take place on Sunday 12 November 2023. Remembrance Sunday provides the nation with a poignant physical reminder of the service and sacrifice of our British and Commonwealth Armed Forces alongside members of the emergency services and civilians, ensuring that no-one is forgotten.
Members of the Royal Family will pay tribute alongside Cabinet Members, Opposition Party leaders and former Prime Ministers, as well as the Mayor of London and other ministers.
Representatives of the Armed Forces and the Merchant Navy will be in attendance, as well as faith communities and High Commissioners of Commonwealth countries.
Non-Association Veterans
This year, for the first time, applications will be open to veterans who are not members of a service unit or association. Eligible veterans from the UK and Commonwealth who have served the Crown in either the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, or the Merchant Navy can follow the link below to the Non-Association Registration Form, providing the necessary information and proof of service documentation. Please note, spaces are limited and will be awarded on a first come first served basis. Registration will open on 1 September.
As any carer accompanying a veteran will be included within the overall 10,000-attendance cap; where appropriate, the option of one veteran assisting another for the duration of the dispersal should be considered.

Individual security checks will take place before entry to Horse Guards Parade. Ticket holders are to bring photographic ID and proof of address with them to gain access.
