This year's Festival of Remembrance commemorates and honours those from Britain, the Commonwealth and the Allies who made victory possible in the Second World War.

As they fought together 75 years ago, so we honour them here today by remembering together - the theme of this year's Festival of Remembrance.

The Chelsea Pensioners are always a distinctive presence at the Festival of Remembrance. But this year they’ll be making their presence felt on the stage too. The Royal Hospital’s Monday night singing group will be providing backing vocals for their most famous member: Britain’s Got Talent winner, 89-year-old Colin Thackery.
