Craft a poppy for Remembrance

Every stitch shows your support

Join the Royal British Legion in remembering our Armed Forces by knitting or crocheting your very own poppy. And this November, we’ll display your glorious creation on one of our many Poppy Walks across the UK.
With your support, together, we could provide a lifeline for serving and ex-serving members of our Armed Forces and show our thanks to those who have risked their lives for us.

How do I take part?

Simply sign up and consider giving an optional donation to cover the cost of your pack and support our vital work. Then, we’ll send your Poppy Crafting pack with the pattern by post or email, so you can stitch, thread and craft your poppy for Remembrance Day 2025.

Once you sign up, we’ll also create a fundraising page especially for you. There, you can share your progress with your community and keep on raising vital funds for our veterans.

What will I do with my poppy?

Once you’ve crafted your poppy, you can wear it, gift it, or return it to us to be proudly displayed on one of our Poppy Walks this November.

Why your support matters

Whatever you decide to donate, your generosity could help give support to serving and ex- serving members, and their families, of our Armed Forces community.

  • £7 will cover the cost of your Poppy Crafting pack.
  • £20 could go towards an emergency grant for an Armed Forces family facing money problems, stepping in before they receive expert support from our debt advice team.
  • £50 could fund a set of panniers, so disabled veterans can carry their lunch on their adaptive bikes, regaining a sense of independence during their recovery course

How do I get my pack?

Just click the ‘Sign Up’ button on this page and fill in the form. You’ll choose whether to have your pack posted to you or provided with a downloadable version via email.

What’s in the Poppy Crafting pack?

Once you sign up, you’ll be sent, depending on your preference:
  • A FREE knit and crochet poppy pattern by email and or in the post, with instructions on how to send your creation back to us.
  • If you choose to receive your pack in the post, we’ll include a Freepost envelope to send your creation back to us.

You will need to source your own yarn and hooks/needles.
