Story

2014 is an important year for two reasons, it is the centenary of the start of the first world war and the tenth year of the Royal British Legion Riders Branch. To mark both of these landmarks the Riders Branch in Kent are going to lay tenwreaths at the ten biggest commonwealth war cemeteries on the western front inten hours on ten motorbikes.

We start at the cemetery in Etaples by laying a wreath and observing two minutes silence, this will be repeated at every cemetery on the list until we get to the Menin Gate. At 8pm the Last Post is played and the people of Ypres fall silent every day of the year, wreath's are laid by organisations from the world over and this is when we will be laying our tenth and final wreath, ten hours after the first.
