Why not come with us on a day trip to Templeuve
Residents of Hollingbourne and friends, together with the Royal British Legion have been invited to take part in their Remembrance Day event, which includes :-
At 12.00, taking part, or watching, a parade lead by the town band, to their cemetery where there will be laying of flowers & wreaths at the war graves of French & British service men.
Returning to their memorial in the town square where the names of the fallen are read out by the school children.
Followed by a 4 hour lunch 2.00pm - 6.00pm, with drinks & wine included, for which they have allocated for us 29 places.
So it’s first come first served for a seat at their lunch.
A 29 seater coach has been laid on which will cater for those having lunch. Pick up at The Windmill 5.30 am, for 7.20 shuttle, arrive Templeuve 11.00. Leaving 6.30 for 21.20 shuttle, arriving home approx 10.00.
The cost for the coach & lunch is £60.00
For those not taking lunch why not come along by car to take part in the formalities, then to enjoy Templeuve, Lille, and perhaps have a tour of war graves cemeteries in the area. Templeuve is approx 80 miles from Calais.
