Norman Penny served in the Royal Signals at D-Day.

As a signaler he worked on mobile landing strips, allowing aircraft such as Spitfires to land in Normandy following the invasion on 6 June 1944.

Nothing like it had ever been attempted before.

To mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day, Dennis was one of hundreds of D-Day veterans who we took back to Normandy.

Travelling on a specially chartered ship, they returned to the beaches they landed on 75 years ago to remember their comrades who never came home.
