Remembering D-Day: Norman's story

Norman Penny served in the Royal Signals at D-Day

As a signaler he worked on mobile landing strips, allowing aircraft such as Spitfires to land in Normandy following the invasion on 6 June 1944.

“Nothing like it had ever been attempted before.”
