In the Second World War Frank Preston was an Able Seaman in the Royal Navy and served alongside troops from over 12 countries on D-Day.
On 6 June 1944 he played a key role in helping Canadian troops land on the beaches of Normandy.
The Canadians were good lads. They were fearless.
D-Day 75
To mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day, Frank was one of hundreds of D-Day veterans who we took back to Normandy.
Voyage of Remembrance
Travelling on a specially chartered ship, they returned to the beaches they landed on 75 years ago to remember their comrades who never came home.
