Join us as we honour and remember those who sadly lost their lives while serving in our Armed Forces.
The official opening of the 2024 Swindon Field of Remembrance takes place on Wednesday 6th November at 10:45am. There is also a daily two-minute silence at 2pm while the field is open.
The Field will close on Sunday 24th November with a closing service at 2:30pm. Opening times are 10am to 4pm.
If you are joining us for the official opening service, please arrive before 10:30am.
After the Opening Service, we will be on hand to help you find your Tribute in the Field of Remembrance.
There will also be some light refreshments available.

Visiting the field

The Field of Remembrance is situated in the Walled Garden in the grounds of Lydiard House & Park just outside of Royal Wootton Bassett town centre.
Directions by car:
Lydiard Park, SN5 3PA, is situated on the western edge of Swindon. From M4 all routes including A420 & A346, exit J16 towards Swindon and follow brown signs to Lydiard Park. From M5/A419 and routes through Swindon town centre, follow signs to
West Swindon, then pick up signs to Lydiard Park. On Whitehill Way there are additional signs to the Lydiard House & Church entrance to the park off Hay Lane. There is disabled parking at both entrances, and pay and display will be in operation.
Directions by bus:
From Swindon town centre, Thamesdown Transport No1 and 1A (make sure the bus destination says Middleleaze or Ramleaze) run frequently from Fleming Way.
Directions by train:
Swindon station - approximately four miles from Lydiard Park. Bus stop on Fleming Way is approximately five minutes walk from Swindon station.
