Join us as we honour and remember those who sadly lost their lives while serving in our Armed Forces.

The official opening of the 2020 Lydiard Park (Swindon) Field of Remembrance will be closed to the public, due to the current restrictions around COVID-19. The Field will be open to the public at 1.00pm on Friday 30 October 2020.

The Field will close on Sunday 22 November 2020. Opening times are 10.00am to 4.00pm.

The Field of Remembrance is situated in the Walled Garden in the grounds of Lydiard House & Park just outside of Royal Wootton Bassett town centre.

Directions by car:

Lydiard Park, SN5 3PA, is situated on the western edge of Swindon. From M4 all routes including A420 & A346, exit J16 towards Swindon and follow brown signs to Lydiard Park. From M5/A419 and routes through Swindon town centre, follow signs to West Swindon, then pick up signs to Lydiard Park. On Whitehill Way there are additional signs to the Lydiard House & Church entrance to the park off Hay Lane. There is disabled parking at both entrances, and pay and display will be in operation. 

Directions by bus:

From Swindon town centre, Thamesdown Transport No1 and 1A (make sure the bus destination says Middleleaze or Ramleaze) run frequently from Fleming Way. 

Directions by train:

Swindon station - approximately four miles from Lydiard Park. Bus stop on Fleming Way is approximately five minutes walk from Swindon station.
