By renewing your membership we can continue to provide people with access to our services and support.

How to renew your membership

  • In advance of your renewal date, we will send you confirmation of the amount to pay and ways to pay
  • Choose your preferred payment method from the list below
  • Direct Debit or Continuous Payment Authority are the fastest and most secure ways to pay for your membership every year
  • Once you have paid, we will send your new membership card in the post within 28 working days

Direct Debit

Set-up recurring payments by visiting our Self-Service Portal and follow the instructions on the page, or call the Membership Helpline.

Credit / Debit card

Visiting our Self-Service Portal and follow the instructions on the page, or call the Membership Helpline to make a single or recurring payment.

PayPoint

Take your renewal letter to your nearest PayPoint outlet, scan the barcode and complete your payment. Find your nearest PayPoint store at paypoint.com.

PayPal

Make a quick and secure online payment through our Self-Service Portal

Cash at Branch

Visit your branch and provide your renewal letter and your total fee in cash. Please allow up to 5 weeks for delivery of your new membership card when paying in cash.

Cheque

Complete a cheque payable to The Royal British Legion for the total fee and send to the address listed on your renewal letter. Please include your membership number with the cheque.

Bank Transfer

Make a payment direct to the Legion via your bank. Please include your membership number as the payment reference.

Euro cheque

Complete a cheque payable to The Royal British Legion for the total fee and send to the address listed on your renewal letter. Please include your membership number with the cheque. Please allow 5 weeks for Euro cheques to be processed.

Membership Self Service Portal

You can use the Membership Self-Service Portal to manage your membership online. This includes paying for your membership, changing your payment method or updating your personal details and contact preferences.

If you have opted-in to receive email notifications from the Legion, we will send you a helpful reminder email before your membership expires. In some circumstances, we may also send you a letter by post.
