Autumn 2025
This issue looks ahead to the Poppy Appeal and RBL’s Remembrance activities.
We highlight the importance of acknowledging the contributions of the communities that often don’t receive the recognition they deserve. This includes our cover star, sculptor Mahtab Hussain, whose work honours the part played by the British Indian Army during the war.
In addition, RBL Director General Mark Atkinson guides members through the key elements of our new strategy, and how they are integral to its success.
All this, plus our usual features, such as Badge of Honour, Lost Trails, Reunions, Letters, and My Legion.
Summer 2025
In this edition, we mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japan by sharing the stories of four Second World War veterans.
We’re looking back at May’s VE Day celebrations and reviewing the 2025 Annual Conference, held this year in Harrogate, where our new National Chair, Lynda Atkins, started her term of office. This issue includes an introductory interview with Lynda, as well as our usual news and features.
Spring 2025
This edition coincides with the 80th anniversary of VE Day, and some of the last surviving veterans of the Second World War share their memories of the occasion with us.
This packed issue also includes: a look back at the first winter Invictus Games, held in Canada in February; a selection of members from different backgrounds and experiences talking about why RBL means so much to them; and Jason Coward reflecting on his three years as RBL’s National Chair.
Winter 2025
As the RBL prepares to celebrate the 80th anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day later this year, we look at some of the pivotal moments of 1945.
We look back at last year's successful Poppy Appeal, and ahead to the first-ever Winter Invictus Games, featuring interviews with Team UK Manager, Louise Assioun, as well as some of the competitors.
We focus on May's Annual Conference in Harrogate, and we speak to new National President, Paul Bennett CB OBE.
