Actors Lucy Fleming and Simon Williams will be reading the charming, touching and amusing letters written between Lucy’s parents, the actress Celia Johnson and Peter Fleming (brother of Ian), an officer in the Grenadier Guards.
They relate their experiences in wartime – either coping with country living, evacuees, driving tractors and making films (including Brief Encounter in 1945) or adventures and trials working in military intelligence in the Far East and India.
