Branch Affiliation

Joining forces with local youth organisations is a great way for the Bordon Branch to strike a chord with the younger generation.

Branch affiliation enables our members to work together with youth organisations on fundraising projects and promotes mutual community support.

Any youth organisation, whether it's uniformed or not, can become affiliated with the branch. In fact, it can become affiliated to as many branches as it wishes to.

The Royal British Legion, with the Bordon & District Branch can help youth organisations with:

  • Offering opportunities for The Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme
  • Fundraising under the name of the youth organisation
  • Offering a wealth of experience on military knowledge and maybe even providing the odd instructor/lecturer from within the branch.
  • Provide free educational resources via our Schools Learning Pack

The youth organisation could help the Branch with such activities as:

  • Poppy Appeal collecting
  • Branch Standard Bearer (adult and youth)
  • Remembrance services and parades

Affiliations are not a part of the recruiting scheme for Youth Members, however, if individuals wish to join their local Bordon Branch or any branch of the Royal British Legion as Youth Members they are more than welcome to do so..

More information can be sought from the Branch Secretary or at the RBL Website
