CHANGES IN THE
SOMERSET OFFICE
There have been a lot of changes within The Royal British
Legion which has had an impact on how the Somerset office and the
Welfare team is operating.
The Somerset office is extremely busy with old and new cases
being dealt with, as a result we have had no option but to place a
voice mail message on our main number, directing callers to our
Somerset email or urgent calls to our National Legion
Line.
Some of you may be aware that David Lowe and Lynn-Marie Power
have moved to another region covering Bristol, Worcestershire,
Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. This means that we have 2 new
County Welfare Officers. Lorraine Moran has stepped up from her
previous role as a County Manager's Assistant and Samantha Jones
has come into the post after being a voluntary Caseworker for The
Royal British Legion for some time. Jane Bartlett is still in the
Somerset office in her old post.
We are aware that people have been trying to contact us, we
appreciate that it must be frustrating but we want you to know that
we really do value the work you do for us. Without your support we
could not give the help that we do to the many grateful
beneficiaries.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during
this difficult and unsettling period of change.
Kindest regards
The Somerset County Welfare Team
