Pop in at Plymouth

Our Pop In advice and information centre is a welcoming space for Service personnel and veterans to get practical help and advice, and for members of the public to find out more about the wide range of services and community activities provided by the Legion.

Our Pop In advice and information centre is at the same location as our Devon & Cornwall Area Office at 174 Armada Way, Plymouth PL1 1LB. Open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Situated in the city centre, public transport access is easy. Use the instructions below or the directions on the map at the bottom of the page. 

By bus

The city centre provides 3 park and ride facilities and all buses drop off and pick up immediately outside our door. If entering the city from the North use the George Junction or Milehouse park and ride, from the East use the Coypool park and ride and if arriving from the West use the Milehouse facility. 

The George park and ride service (PR1) starts at 6.30am from the George Junction via Milehouse every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday, until the last departure at 6pm. From the city centre (Royal Parade) the service starts at 7am and runs every 12 minutes until the last departure at 6.30pm. Journey is about 25 minutes.

Coypool park and ride service (PR2) starts at 6.30am (Monday to Saturday excluding bank holidays). The last bus from Royal Parade back to Coypool is at 6.33pm. If you are using a sat nav to help you reach this location please use the postcode PL7 4TB. Journeys take approximately 15 minutes.

Milehouse park and ride service is combined with the George park and ride service. Passengers should catch the bus from the shelter on Outland Road. The service starts from Milehouse at 6.45am. The last bus from Royal Parade back to Milehouse is 6.30pm (Monday to Saturday). By rail

The Railway Station is just a few minutes’ walk away.

By car

The main route to Plymouth from the North is via the M5 motorway and then continuing on the A38 Expressway via Exeter. Leave the A38 at Marsh Mills interchange and take the A374, which is clearly signed for the City Centre.  From the West, leave the A38 at the Manadon Interchange and take the A386 into the city. For your SatNav our postcode is PL1 1LB and we are situated on the corner where Armada Way and Mayflower Street meet.

The nearest car parks are Mayflower Street East and Mayflower House Court car parks.  Please note these tend to be busy. The next nearest parking is at Sainsbury’s. There is a time limit of 2 hours and charges apply. Drake Circus Shopping Centre with ample parking is a few minutes walk from the Area Office.
