Where can I go?
The Legion owns and operates four Break Centres (equivalent to high-standard, hotel-style accommodation) in England and Northern Ireland, and we also make use of Parkdean and Haven holiday parks around the UK, and they're all near the coast. What's included/How much does it cost?
We aim to provide a free holiday that should only require a minimum amount of spending money. The Legion does assist, where possible, with the cost of food and transport. For more information about what's included click here.
Who can go?
The Legion can assist those who are Serving or who have Served in the UK Armed Forces, along with their dependants and carers. Some restictions apply, please see our 'How to apply' section below for more information.
Can you help me to identify a suitable location for my family holiday?
We're keen to be as flexible as possible in order to accommodate your family's circumstances, but we can only work with the information that you provide. If you are struggling to find a suitable location, we'd gladly help you to identify something suitable, if you tell us what you have in mind.
I've applied for a Legion Family Holiday - what happens next?
Once your application has been approved the Poppy Breaks Coordinator will contact you as soon as possible to assist in organising your holiday. Essentially, we'll confirm what date you'd like to go away, which location and any specific requirements your family may have.
If you have applied for a Legion family holiday but have not yet been contacted, please first contact your local Legion Area Office. They will check that your application has been sent to the Legion's Head Office and once submitted we will do our best to contact you as soon as possible.

How to apply
If you are part of the currently serving or ex-Service community who are eligible for Legion help and if you answer YES to just one of the questions below, then you and your family qualify for a Family Holiday Break.
- Are you a one parent household because of bereavement or break up of the family?
- Is one parent currently serving on overseas operations or is to be deployed?
- Is one parent caring for a disabled partner?
- Is one parent suffering from mental or physical trauma?
- Have you not had a holiday away from home in 2 years?
- Do you support your household with less than £30,000 gross annual income per year?
