Each year the demand for our support continues as Service men and women, young and old, call on us for assistance. There are many ways you can help including making a donation, volunteering your time, participating in a fundraising event and supporting the Poppy Appeal.
Poppy Appeal
It is one of the best known and supported campaigns in the calendar and each year the nation shows its support for the Legion's work by giving generously to the Poppy Appeal.
In 2008, we raised almost £31 million and we are well on the way to passing this for the 2009 appeal.
Make a donation
You don't have to wait till Poppy Appeal time to make a donation. We need your support all year. There are lots of ways to give - online, direct debit etc. And don't forget to sign up for Gift Aid!
Poppy People
If you can spare some time to help us, we need volunteers all year to provide home and hospital visits and other support services. And of course in late October and early November, Poppy Collectors are required.
Support us while you shop
Our online Poppy Shop is now open and has an expanding range of great products to choose from. Or support us through Poppy Direct services or online shopping with Buy.at.
Fundraising Events
Throughout the year the Legion holds a number of fundraising events. Check our calendar of events to see how you can participate or find out how you can support us by holding a fundraising event of your own.
Raffle
We run at least 3 major draw raffles each year (Spring, Summer and Christmas), that are hugely popular with Legion members and the general public. Prizes include cars, holidays and cash.
Weekly Poppy Draw
The Royal British Legion Weekly Lottery is a great new way of supporting the vital work of the Legion and having the chance to win one of our 100 weekly cash prizes. And there's a quarterly bonus draw too!
Leave a Legacy
A legacy to The Royal British Legion today can be a life saver for thousands in the years to come, and will preserve the Poppy as a symbol of hope for future generations.
In Memoriam
Remember a loved one with an In Memoriam gift in place of a floral tribute. It's something that will last much longer and mean so much more.
