Corporate partner National Express have rolled out a package to support the Armed Forces community.

National Express have been supporting the Royal British Legion with a host of initiatives since 2013.

Customers booking coach travel online can add £1 to their coach ticket, all of which will be donated straight to RBL. Since launch, customers have donated over £70,000 through the scheme. Visit the National Express website to find out more.

It's a real honour to carry the poppy on our coaches Tom Stables

Managing Director National Express UK Coach

National Express help share the symbol and message of RBL with the nation. Over the Remembrance period, they decorate their coach fleet with the RBL's iconic poppy logo and run 5 RBL-branded coaches all year round.

Until their closure, the coach company offered free travel to our Break Centres in Southport and Weston super Mare. This saved us the travel costs of service families who visited the centres for a much-needed holiday.

Since then, they have expanded this support to include travel to our Bravo 22 arts for recovery initiative.

National Express were the first organisation to sign the Corporate Covenant - a voluntary pledge from businesses and charitable organisations who wish to demonstrate their concrete support for the armed forces community. They also offer guaranteed interviews to Service leavers, the UK's largest travel discount for serving personnel at 60 per cent off standard fares and extra annual leave for staff in the Reserve Forces.

Tom Stables, Managing Director National Express UK Coach said: "The Royal British Legion's poppy logo is an incredibly powerful symbol that instantly evokes the enormous sacrifice made by the Armed Forces and their families both past and present. It's a real honour to carry the poppy on our coaches and we hope in doing so to play our part in promoting the RBL's work far and wide."
