The Role
Poppy Appeal Organisers are a critical leadership role for the RBL annual Poppy Appeal.
You will be excited about this role if you:
- want to develop skills and experience in leading a team
- are excited to be involved with high-profile community fundraising
- are interested in developing your knowledge of your local community
- are comfortable handling money
- have an hour or two a week during the year, with a more intense time commitment between September and November

Be part of the loudest cheer team on the course at the London Marathon by giving all our wonderful RBL runners the encouragement they need as they run past. The more the merrier so we encourage volunteers to invite their friends and family along too.

Poppy Walk London
2 November 2024
You could be involved with anything from helping us to set up or pack down the Poppy Walk event, marshalling the course, giving our participants a big cheer during their challenge, or awarding them their well-deserved medal as they cross the finish line.
Poppy Appeal Collector
As a Poppy Appeal Collector, you love meeting people and hearing their stories, are comfortable handling money, and are passionate about supporting the Armed Forces community and honouring their contribution. You will be available to share 2 or more hours of your time in November to help with the Poppy Appeal, either by yourself or with a friend, work, or community group.
City Poppy Day
London (& Gatwick) Commander

City Poppy Day Section or Sector Commanders are critical leadership positions for the annual Poppy Appeal. You will find these roles rewarding if you want to develop skills and experience in leading a team, are comfortable handling money, and are excited to be involved with high-profile community fundraising. You will be involved with the fundraising an hour or two a week throughout the year, with more time required leading up to the City Poppy Day.
