The football world has said a special Thank You to the First World War generation who served, sacrificed and changed our world.

A film has been released by the English Football Association thanking all who were involved in the First World War, not just those who fell on the battlefield, but also those who played their part on the home front and those who returned to build a better future.

The Legion’s Thank You movement is backed by some of the country’s most high-profile football players, with Harry Kane, Jordan Pickford, Jordan Henderson, and Lionesses star Nikita Parris and Alex Greenwood among a host of players paying tribute to all those involved in the First World War.
