If you were successful in the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon ballot we’d love you to join Team Legion. You’ll have no minimum fundraising target, we simply ask you to raise as much as you can to help us provide vital services to our Armed Forces community.

We know you will be eager to find out if we can allocate you a place. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and a member of the Running Events team will be in contact if your application has been successful.
The final instructions magazine will be posted to you around four weeks before the event day. For the most up-to-date information, please do keep an eye on their website.
You will need to collect your marathon pack from the Virgin Money London Marathon EXPO on either the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday before the marathon. Please refer to the London Marathon website for timings closer to the event day.
All runners must attend the London Marathon Expo in order to collect their running number and timing chip. Failure to collect your race number will result in you unfortunately being unable to take part.
You’ll be required to show a form of photo identification in order to receive your event pack. If you’re unable to attend registration and wish to send a friend or relative to collect your event pack on your behalf, they must bring a form of photo identification for themselves and you as well as a signed letter of authorisation from you confirming that they can collect your event pack.
As part of the team you’ll receive:
Running vests and iron on letter will be sent out 4-6 weeks before the event.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, date of birth, telephone number, old address and new address. Your address details will then be changed in their system and a confirmation will be emailed to you when this has been done. Please do not call the helpdesk with changes of address as these can only be processed by email.
It goes without saying that it’s worth booking your accommodation sooner rather than later. Think about whether you want an easy journey to the starting zone (Greenwich Park) or if you want a shorter journey at the end (staying near the finish line in Central London).
