D-Day Remembrance 2017

Two services to commemorate the anniversary of D-Day will be held this year in Normandy, France.

To commemorate the anniversary of the Normandy Landings, known as D-Day, two services will be held in Bayeux in northern France on Tuesday 6 June.

  • Commemoration service – 10am, Bayeux Cathedral 
  • Remembrance service – 12pm, Bayeux Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery

Both services are open to the public and feature music from the Dutch Band of Liberation and readings from veterans. They are 45 minutes long and there will be a parade from the Cathedral to the cemetery.
