Never Forget

When we lose a loved one, knowing that friends remember them fondly is a great comfort at a time of loss. Asking friends and family to donate to The Royal British Legion means your loved one's memory will live on, not only in the hearts of those who knew them, but in the hearts of all the ex-Service men and women who benefit from your kindness.

Traditionally, flowers have been an expression of affection and respect. Beautiful as they are though, wreaths and bouquets will not last forever. But by choosing to remember and celebrate a life with a gift to The Royal British Legion you can make a wonderful gesture that could make a difference for many years to come.

We offer a number of ways for your loved one to be remembered from a simple In Memoriam donation to a personalised tribute website.

Never Forget Tribute Funds

A personal tributeThrough the creation of a tribute fund you can keep the memory alive of someone who was very special to you via a permanent tribute page on our specialist website.

Your efforts will keep them alive in people's memory and with your help we can provide care and hope to those who have bravely fought to serve our country.

Find out more about our tribute funds here.

Never Forget in-memoriam donations

Friends and family can express their affection and respect by making a gift in lieu of flowers. As well as honouring someone special, you will also be helping so many of our bravest ex-Service men and women who are now in need.

Never Forget collection envelopes

Never forget collection envelopesUsing collection envelopes to pay tribute to a loved one is a very unique and special way to remember them. By giving friends and family the opportunity to make such a special gift allows their memory to be honoured.

Often you are also supporting a cause which was very important to them. This personal tribute to a loved one's life is also a salute to Service people past and present who are in need. Any donations we receive allow us to care for more elderly veterans and provide greater rehabilitation care for today's injured heroes.

Bookof Remembrance3Collection envelopes are available to help make everything as straightforward as possible - especially at such a difficult time. Your family and friends can either hand the envelopes back to you or they can send them directly to us, our freepost address is printed on the envelope and we will send a thank you letter to acknowledge all the gifts received in your loved one's memory.

To request Never Forget Collection envelopes please call us on 020 3207 2258 or email tribute@britishlegion.org.uk.

Your loved ones details will be entered into The Royal British Legion's Never Forget Book of Remembrance which is on permanent display at our Head Office. Visitors are very welcome to come and visit the Book.

Our address and office hours to view the Book are:

Gifts in Celebration

If you have a birthday, anniversary, wedding or any other special event coming up, why not use your special occasion to support the vital welfare work of The Royal British Legion?

Many supporters choose to ask friends and family for donations to support our work rather than receiving a gift themselves. Such kind and thoughtful gifts help the Legion to support the many ex-Service men and women who so dearly need our help.

We have special Gifts In Celebration envelopes that we can send you to pass to your friends and family. If you would like to request some special envelopes or you'd like to find out more please send an email to celebrate@britishlegion.org.uk or you can call us on 020 3207 2255.

We'll send a thank-you letter in response to every gift we receive.

Other ways to remember

Each year in the lead up to Remembrance Day, you are invited to leave messages of Remembrance on Little Remembrance Crosses to be planted in our Fields of Remembrance or on poppies to be planted in our Flanders' Field of Poppies.

Or you can plant a virtual poppy anywhere in the world in memory of your loved one.

Visit our Remembrance section for more information.
