VE Day 65 years on

Everyone who lived through World War II remembers what they were doing when the end of war in Europe was announced - VE Day.

65 year later, as the country's custodians of Remembrance, we've commemorated this special day with The Nation's Greatest Ever Salute on 8 May 2010. It was an opportunity for the whole country to come together as one, once more, and remember the courage and bravery of all those who delivered victory in 1945.
