Lost trail by Bruno Rebbelmund (1)

11 February 2012

Bruno Rebbelmund (1) is looking for Capt Howard Miller

Last seen:
Where: Münster/Metelen Area-Germany
When: Spring 1946

Extra details:
In October 1946, my daughter's mother-in-law – with her girl’s name Ursula Winewski - who is also co-grandparent to my grandson, was born in Metelen in Westphalia, west of Münster. Her father was a British officer stationed in Metelen from autumn 1945 until the spring of 1946; his name is Howard Miller. Through the Military Historical Research Office of German Armed Forces at Potsdam, I have been able to establish the identities of some of the British units stationed west of Münster; I was told that at the time in question, the VIII and XII British Army Corps were stationed in the area Münster/Steinfurt. It was not possible to obtain any more detailed information about subordinate formations. From the UK Embassy Berlin I got your address. The family would now very much like to trace Howard Miller.
