D-Day 65

Saturday 6 June 2009, the 65th anniversary of D-Day, the biggest wartime operation ever, was commemorated on both sides of the English Channel. World War II veterans were honoured with special messages planted on Asnelles beach in Normandy and with a commemorative mass and wreath laying in Bayeaux.
