Community

The Armed Forces community is a national network of people of all ages and backgrounds who support and campaign for serving and ex-Service personnel and their families. The Royal British Legion is open to everyone and there are many ways you can make a difference to the lives of serving and ex-serving men and women by joining us. Click here to find out more about full Legion membership.

Young people

Young people helped launch Manchester Poppy Day in 2013Young people play an important role in the Legion community.

If you are between 12 and 16 years old you can join as a youth member and get involved in a range of activities to support us. These include fundraising, bands, affiliated groups and being a youth standard bearer.

Bands

bandsThere are over 50 Royal British Legion military bands who perform at concerts and events across the country providing a unique musical experience. Our Central Band performs at the Festival of Remembrance in the Albert Hall and at other national occassions. Legion bands are available for hire in your local area and we welcome applications from budding musicians of all ages to join our bands.
