Events & corporate hospitality

Horse racing

Throughout the year, we run a wide range of prestigious events; from race days at Newmarket and Kempton Park to our popular Christmas Celebration at the Guildhall. These events offer superb opportunities for you to entertain both your clients and employees, whilst promoting your company's support of The Royal British Legion to a wider audience.

NTL have enjoyed a long and successful association with The Royal British Legion through sponsorship of Poppy Race Days. Some of the sponsored races have been broadcast live on Channel 4, giving NTL lucrative brand exposure and their clients a great day out! NTL have followed this up with promotional offers direct to our members and supporters, increasing commercial revenue.

Affinity marketing

Cheque presentationWe pride ourselves in creating mutually beneficial affinity partnerships which offer an attractive and effective marketing option to many brands.

One of our proudest success stories is Coventry Building Society who have raised over £6.8 million for us since 2008 with their affinity products. The innovative savings products have also been awarded the prestigious Affinity Marketing Award at the Third Sector Business Charity Award which recognises the use of a company's products or services to help a charity.

Corporate donations

Corporate donations and gifts in kind can make an important difference to The Royal British Legion and are a great way to help our vital work. We are always grateful for donations, whether it is for an auction, to fill our event goodie bags, for use as raffle prizes or pro bono support.

During matches played over Remembrance weekend the clubs wear shirts embroidered with a poppy and then kindly donate these to The Royal British Legion to be auctioned. In 2011 they managed to raise a staggering figure of over £100,000.

Your company may also be able to help with donations for our events. In 2011 we received some fantastic gifts in kind such as Jo Malone perfume for The Poppy Ball gift bags and Britvic water for our Pedal to Paris cyclists.

Supporting the Legion by donating products and services is an easy and valuable way for your business to help. If you would like to donate or discuss ways your company can help with pro bono support please get in touch with Alex Caine.
