Our Brilliant Standard Bearer

Derril Green, Standard Bearer for Beckford and Ashton-under-Hill came FIRST in the County Standard Bearers' Competition. This automatically put him forward for the Regional Competition which took place on 20 February 2010. After a great deal of preparation and practice during the run-up, his dress and drills got him through to Third Place. Had he made First position, he would have automatically gone through for the National Competition but this was not to be - for this year at any rate.
