The branches within Group 1 are situated within the bounds of the Vale of Evesham, a very popular area for holiday makers. One of the prime attractions in the spring is the orchards blossoms of apple, plum, pear and cherry trees etc and taking a risk at upsetting the residents of the Kent countryside, could be referred to as THE garden of England. When blossom is on the trees, there are signs directing traffic on the routes to take for the best viewing advantage. We are also on the edge of the Cotswolds which is another major tourist attraction.
The Legion has 3 clubs within 2 miles of each other and all are to a very high standard where facilities exist for many Sporting activities such as snooker, darts, various card games, pool and skittles etc which are all a very popular part of leisure life in the Vale. It is quite a common occurrence for a branch from another part of the country or county to visit places such as the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas and make arrangements to stop by at one of these clubs for refreshments or an evening's entertainment on their way back home.
