The Poppy Appeal in Wiltshire

The 2012 Poppy Appeal is so far very exciting.  Starting with Remembrance tide fortnight at the beginning of November, Wiltshire is already showing an increase on the total raised from the  previous year and thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers, the amount raised to date is  540,220 with another eight months to go.

There are lots of new fundraising activities happening over the next few months including oncerts, tea parties, parades, skydives etc. A full list of dates will be available shortly.

The work of the Royal British Legion, the money raised by the Poppy Appeal is vital in ensuring that help and support is given to all our military personnel, current and past and their families. We send poppies to over 100 countries every year.

Poppy People

We always need new volunteers - Poppy People - to assist with the Poppy Appeal collecting in Wiltshire.  Without volunteers out there on the streets and without Poppy Appeal Organisers who coordinate the collections, this great cause would grind to a halt.

Whether you have a couple of hours or more, we would love to hear from you.
