New District President

The Royal British Legion in Spain is pleased to announce that the new President of the District North area is Paul Rodwell, British Consul from Alicante.  Chris Wyatt, the District Chairman said "We are most grateful to Paul for taking on the role and for all the help given to us by his office in the past and welcome him to The Royal British Legion in Spain.  We appreciate his personal support in not only gaining extra Poppy collection areas but also in fomenting closer relations with the Spanish Authorities, especially in our 90th Anniversary celebrations."

Paul commented last week "I am delighted to accept the honour of becoming President of the Royal British Legion - District North.  My colleague Steve Jones, the Consul for Malaga, was recently appointed President of Royal British Legion - District South which shows the importance the British Consular network attaches to The  RBL's work throughout Spain and beyond.   The Legion offers terrific support to serving and ex service men and women and their dependants.  As President, I shall continue to support and promote the welfare work The RBL carries out in the Levante region of Spain.  Here at the British Consulate Alicante we are really grateful for their work and regularly liaise closely with them to help distressed serving and ex service British nationals in the area."
